Social Media
As much as I and others love to use social media, it doesn't always have positive effects on everyone's lives. Although it is very reliable to be able to contact someone whether they're down the street or across the world, sometimes people overuse social media in the wrong way. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., all have the same basic standards with sharing something a person posts to their followers and/or friends. So often people write their emotions and feelings in depth over the internet but when it comes to actually saying how they feel in person, they can not do it. And I'm not saying don't post how you feel, but the problem is people post too much and don't know what should be said and what shouldn't be. Post something that has valuable meaning to not only you but others, not what you're drinking from Starbucks, not that you just went to the bathroom, or not that you just ordered pizza. I get it, it's SOCIAL media, but when people learn to balance what should be on social media and what should stay in their private life, then it will be a lot better. Sadly, people are learning how to express what they want over social media instead of being in touch with themselves in real life. When people start to lose how to communicate properly then it is clear social media is not all in fact, a positive thing. But even as I type this, will I stop using social media? .. Probably not.
